Canned Heat live at Woodstock 1969.
I’ve never gotten tired of seeing this performance. Bob Hite is having so much fun it makes the song seem effortless.
A fan runs on stage and Bob just gives him a hug. The guy takes a cigarette out of Bob’s pocket and he just helps him light it. Could you imagine that happening today?
Although, before I get all “things used to be so different” I should mention later that very day when Abbie Hoffman tried to grab the microphone during The Who’s set…Pete Townshend smashed him in the head with his guitar.
